Cheatham Lake Park – Great Summer Activity!

Today I went to this park for the first time. It was super-fun, and I highly recommend that anyone in the Clarksville area, head out that way! It’s a pleasant drive and it is super nice!

Thanks Anna for the directions below.

COST –  $ 4 per car load

There are some picnic tables with shade and grills. I’m sure if we are there @ 10am or earlier there will be no problem snagging one. There is a beach with sand. They have a large square sectioned off for swimming. There are parking spots very convenient to the beach and clean bathrooms as well close to the beach.  The sand is very clean and soft on the toes.

DIRECTIONS –  (Approximately a 25 minute drive from the Exit 11 area)

If coming from Kentucky, Take I-24 towards Nashville
Take exit 11 turn RIGHT onto TN-76W (follow that past walmart, past k-mart, past Harley Davidson Place)
Turn left @ light onto TN-12/Ashland City Rd. Follow that for about 15 miles.
Turn right on Cheatham Dam Rd. (you will see a big water tower on your right and a church on the left where the turn is).
Also there is a sign right before the turn that will let you know the Cheatham lock is up ahead so you really cant miss it.
Follow that approx 4 miles till it dead ends into Cheatham park.
